Weekend Pro Golf Roundup November 27-30

Weekend Overview

It was a surprisingly busy weekend in global golf, even if the big U.S. tours were still in hibernation mode. The headline belonged to David Puig, who treated Royal Queensland like a personal redemption arc and closed out the BMW Australian PGA Championship with all the stress levels of a man assembling IKEA furniture with instructions. Over in Spain, Nastasia Nadaud ran hotter than the Andalusian sun, turning a sleepy opening round into a three-day clinic to claim the Andalucía Open de España. Asia chimed in too, with Poosit Supupramai riding an ace, a putter heater, and possibly good karma to a one-shot win at the Bharath Classic. If you thought late November was a dead zone in pro golf, the leaderboards would like to disagree respectfully.

Tour-By-Tour Recap

PGA TOUR (No Event)

Next Event: Hero World Challenge December 4-7

DP WORLD TOUR

Event: BMW Australian PGA Championship
Winner: David Puig
Score: -18
How They Won: Puig jumped out to a 3-shot lead early, shooting 4 under on the front 9, and playing steady golf, shooting a bogey-free 66 in the final round. He had two bogeys all weekend.
Top 5: 1. David Puig 2. Ding Wenyi T3. Marc Leishman T3. Nick Voke T5. Daniel Hillier T5. Min Woo Lee
Storyline to Know: No surprise at all, as it was home field advantage, Australians dominated the top 20. 12 Australians finished in the top 20.

A frequent guest on YouTube with the likes of Luke Kwon, Sam Heung Min, Tooms, and Taco Golf, this was Nick Voke’s second-best finish this year and moves up to 398 in the OWGR.

Although only 9 LIV players were in the field, I thought they would have a stronger week, as they played this course back in February, when Puig finished in the top 5. 4 LIV players finished in the top 20 this week, earning some OWGR points along the way.

LPGA TOUR (No Event)

Next Event: Grant Thornton Invitational December 12-14

LADIES EUROPEAN TOUR (LET)

Event: Andalucía Open de España
Winner: Nastasia Nadaud
Score: -16
How They Won: After losing -0.23 shots on the day, Nastasia managed to scrape together a 72 (Par) on day 1. She must have had a great range session after the round because she would go on to shoot 65-69-66 in rounds 3-4. She gained 6.64 strokes in round 2, and 2.41 in round 3. 6 birdies and 1 eagle would provide some comfort in round 4 as she would go on to win.
Top 5: 1. Nastasia Nadaud 2. Kirsten Rudgeley T3. Kelsey Bennett T3. Olivia Cowan T3. Olivia Cowan T3. Olivia Cowan
Storyline to Know: A T7 finish was not good enough to overtake Shannan Lee for the season-long point race. With a T16 finish, Lee secured the Order of Merit season-long race over Rhodes. Tan and Rhodes will compete in the LPGA Qualifying School for a spot on the LPGA Tour.

PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS (Season Over)

Next Event: Skechers World Champions Cup supporting Shriners Children’s, December 1-7

LIV GOLF (Season Over)

Next Event: Riyadh, February 4-7

EPSON TOUR (Season Over)

ASIAN TOUR / INTERNATIONAL SERIES

Event: Bharath Classic Gujarat
Winner: Poosit Supupramai
Score: -18
How They Won: Supupramai overcame average rounds off the tee, picking up shots with his approach and putter. He also bought drinks Saturday night (unconfirmed) after a round 3 ace on 16. Through 4 rounds, Supupramai scored 3 bogeys. This steady play was enough to hold off Wooyoung Cho by one shot.
Top 5: 1. Poosit Supupramai 2. Wooyoung Cho T3. Panuphol Pittayarat T3. Jazz Janewattananond T3. Sachin Baisoya T3. Ekpharit Wu
Storyline to Know: Supupramai jumped 191 spots in the OWGR from 831 to 640.

JAPAN TOUR (JGTO) / JLPGA

Event: Casio World Open Golf Tournament
Winner: Ryuichi Oiwa
Score: -21
How They Won: After both players parred the first playoff hole (Hole 18 par 5), Oiwa edged Kosuke Sunagawa with a birdie on the second hole (18 again) of the playoff.
Top 5: 1. Ryuichi Oiwa 2. Kosuke Sunagawa T3. Taihei Sato T3. Suguru Shimoke T5. Kinoshita Ryosuke T5. Suzuki Kosuke T5. Semikawa Taiga
Storyline to Know: Oiwa moves from 119 to 300 in the OWGR.

Performance of the Week (Men + Women)

  • {David Puig}: Avoiding Bogey is the secret sauce to success, and Puig had 2 all 4 rounds (which occurred on back-to-back holes).
  • {Shannan Lee}: Although not the ideal finish in a tournament (T16), it was enough to secure the season-long point race. Hopefully, this provides confidence as she competes in the upcoming LPGA Q School.

What Amateur Golfers Can Learn This Week

  1. Avoiding Bogeys can be the secret sauce to a successful round
  2. If one part of your game is struggling, try to keep confidence up because other facets can keep the ship steady
  3. Short game, short game, short game.

Closing Thoughts

As the calendar edges toward December, the tours that are still running are looking less like season-long marathons and more like players grabbing momentum for 2026. Final Rounds of Q-Schools are upcoming, Invitationals are stacking up, and a few world rankings just got the jump you only see after a Target Black Friday TV deal. Next week brings an interesting mix of exhibitions, qualifiers, and one Tiger-adjacent event that always stirs things up. So rest up, golf isn’t slowing down just because the temperature is.
